La inmemoria de la nada
(2024-2026)
La inmemoria de nada (The Oblivion of Nothing) is a project through which I seek to blur the boundaries between my father and my stepfather, transforming them into a single figure. Recognizing them as two different men, but whose influence converges in me, is an act of reconciliation and transformation of the bond that unites us.
Federico and Alejandro met thanks to their shared friendship with my mother, Patricia. She began a relationship with Federico, whom she married and had two children with: my sister and me. Years later, the marriage ended, but not Alejandro's closeness, who was always present: as a friend of the family, as my godfather, as a kind of uncle who never stopped showing up.
Over time, Patricia and Alejandro began a romantic relationship, and that continuity—friendship, love, family—wove new forms of presence into my life.
That is why I decided to compile archival material and create new images: to represent that dual influence that inhabits me. To narrate how, through different bonds, both have made me part of them. I am as much them as I am me.
